Jamie Molnar is the consummate professional. He is quick and efficient which is definitely a necessity in his line of business. Jamie is always available when you call with a cooling problem. Not only has he repaired our air conditioning unit, but he has also repaired my in-law’s. They have had several issues with their older unit and Jamie has always dropped what he’s doing to come fix it. He is very knowledgeable at what he does and my family would refer him to anyone.

I had a dead heat pump that failed just before the three week period of “polar vortex” induced cold air into the Tampa area. I called a local AC/ Heat company that has a bundled business (AC heat, plumbing and electrical) for a service call. They had already charged me over $1000 to replace the heat pump capacitors during a systems health check. The rep was courteous and I called them back as the system check was only a few months before. The new rep checked the unit in and out before he informed me it was time to replace the compressor or the whole system. The old compressor would be hard to find and expensive to add coolant to, so he suggested their payment plan on the $10K system but assured me their $7K system would work as well, just labor in warrantee was different.
My brother suggested a second look from his friend and once Jamie Molnar arrived things started to look up. He quickly assessed the system (attic and outside), checked for any electrical issues, and tested the system to pinpoint the problem. An expansion valve failure. Total cost was under $400! I leave it up to you to decide if maybe they didn’t have the experience to correctly diagnose the failure. All I know is that I had full heat and AC once the part was replaced. Jamie has the professional knowledge and honesty to be welcomed back for ALL of my HVAC needs. I recommend his company without reservation.

Nothing is worse that waking up to your air conditioner being out in September in Florida, especially when you have no idea who to call in order to fix the problem. After asking friends for recommendations, I had two different companies quote the fix. I was extremely happy that Jamie of J Molnar Heating and Cooling was one of them.
The difference between Jamie and the other company was the difference between night and day. Jamie took the time to correctly diagnose the entire problem the first time and then talked to me about the full range of options I had available instead of trying to just sell me something I didn’t need.
To top it all off, Jamie installed a brand new system in a matter of hours, on the same day that I called him. Much appreciated in the Florida summer. When you don’t deal with these kinds of issues very often, I appreciate doing business with someone who is not only competent and thorough, but also honest and upfront about the solutions available to you.
